At The Marco Polo Hotel in Mackay we currently have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to come on board and cover the managers 2 day off for an immediate start.
Job Description
To create a memorable quest experience through excellent customer service; anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations and delivering prompt and efficient service in a friendly and professional manner.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Ensure the smooth and professional running of the check in/check out procedure
Ensure smooth running of the hotel operations.
Handle telephone calls, guest requests and reservations in a timely and proficient manner
Communicate with guests in an open, friendly, respectful and positive manner
Be familiar with all hotel services, room types and rates and demonstrate full product knowledge
Where possible and appropriate upsell room categories to maximise hotel revenue
Create reservations in the system according to guest requests, availability and budget
Complete front office duties, tasks and procedures in line with company policies and procedures and as directed by Management
Resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Report any outstanding balances or payment queries to Management.
Process guest mail, messages and deliveries in a timely manner ensuring guest privacy and security is always maintained
Requirements/requests are fulfilled
Ensure correct and accurate float balance and cash and credit transactions are recorded at the end of each shift
