We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our vibrant Food & Beverage team in our beautiful tropical resort.

🌟 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
✅ Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience, preferably in a hotel or resort
✅ Strong leadership skills and a passion for exceptional customer service
✅ Experience in staff training, rostering and daily operations
✅ Excellent organisational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
✅ Cocktail-making and barista experience
✅ Current RSA certification

FROM CAIRNS TO KONA… IT'S TIME TO SHINE, SALLY! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

THIS SATURDAY, OUR VERY OWN CAIRNS IRONWOMAN TAKES ON THE WORLD! 🌏🏆

On Saturday, 10 October, Sally will line up at the 2026 IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii!

And what a journey it's been! 💚

Just four years ago, Sally couldn't swim, hadn't ridden a bike since childhood and was only beginning to run 5km.

Now she's competing against the world's best IRONMAN athletes!

But what does it take to get there?
Here's a glimpse into just ONE WEEK of Sally's training:

🏊‍♀️ 13km swimming
🚴‍♀️ 380km cycling
🏃‍♀️ 77.7km running
💪 Strength training and recovery
⏱️ Around 25 HOURS of training!

Early mornings, endless kilometres, tropical downpours and even cycling indoors in a hoodie and sweatpants to prepare for Kona's intense heat! 🥵

FROM CAIRNS TO LONDON… GO ROB! 🇬🇧💪

You may know Rob as our Maintenance Manager here at Cairns Colonial Club Resort… but when he’s not busy keeping the resort running, apparently he likes to spend his spare time running ridiculously long distances! 😂🏃‍♂️

After taking on the streets of New York and Sydney, Rob has his sights set on his third Abbott World Marathon Major: the London Marathon! 🇬🇧

But this one is about much more than crossing a finish line.

Rob is running to raise funds and awareness for Crohn’s & Colitis UK, helping to get people talking about Crohn’s and Colitis and supporting those affected by these conditions.

We’re incredibly proud to get behind Rob as a major donor to his fundraising campaign. And naturally, we’ve made sure he’s taking a little piece of Cairns with him on those training runs!
