A rainy Mapleton day changed their plans — but not their wedding ❤️

This beautiful couple had planned to marry at the Mapleton Lilyponds, but when the rain arrived, they needed a new plan.

With no other guests staying at Mapleton Springs that day, they held their ceremony in our guest lounge overlooking the pool, gardens and Hinterland. It turned into such a lovely, intimate celebration — and I even had the privilege of being one of their witnesses.

That day gave us an idea.

We are now welcoming private micro elopements at Mapleton Springs for couples wanting something relaxed, intimate and completely private.

All four rooms are booked exclusively for your group, with up to 8 staying guests. Your celebrant, photographer, hair and makeup artist can attend as required, and you can choose an outdoor ceremony when the weather suits or use our guest lounge as a beautiful wet-weather alternative.

Micro Elopement Fee from $300, in addition to normal accommodation rates, depending on preparation and any extra requirements.

It was wonderful to visit Sunshine Coast Koala Rescue recently during our visit to the region in our search for a new koala detection dog. 🦮🐨☀
Rachel does an incredible job rescuing and providing hands-on care for injured, sick and orphaned koalas, supporting their recovery with the goal of returning them safely to the wild wherever possible. ❤️‍🩹
This is a round-the clock effort— collecting fresh leaf, preparing specialised formula, transporting animals for veterinary care, and responding to rescue call-outs at all hours. 🌿🚑☎️
Rachel often called upon Bear to help find koalas, and hopefully, we will have a new pup to follow in his pawprints soon! 🐕🐾
Rachel runs the stunning Mapleton Springs retreat to help fund her koala rescue work, so if you are looking for a bit of 'RnR' that will also help koala RnR (rescue and rehab) check them out! 😉

Red-necked wallabies don’t seem to mind a little winter rain. 🌧️🦘

A peaceful afternoon at Mapleton Springs, with two wallabies enjoying the fresh green grass while the mist rolls across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Sometimes the best wildlife encounters happen when you simply pause and watch.
