This is how a joyful wine weekend unfolds in the Barossa Valley. To celebrate 175 years of Seppeltsfield, Chief Winemaker Fiona Donald joined us at The Louise for an intimate Appellation dinner, a behind-the-scenes tour through the historic Seppeltsfield precinct, a long lunch at FINO, the iconic 100-year-old tawny tasting, and a generous pour of Seppeltsfield wines throughout.

A two-night Barossa escape where conversations, new friendships and favourite vintages flowed. A winter weekend well spent.

Our thanks to the great team at Seppeltsfield.

Introducing Tomorrow Beckons - our global regenerative travel program, uniting Beckons lodges across Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Canada in one shared mission: to protect and regenerate the landscapes, wildlife and communities that make each destination extraordinary.

Tomorrow Beckons is hyper-local by design, with each lodge partnering with a dedicated community or environmental organization in its region, allowing guests to directly support and sustain local and meaningful initiatives.

Good food has the power to nourish far beyond the table. Through the Maggie Beer Foundation, we’re supporting the recruitment of Aged Care Chef Trainer Mentors, helping improve nutrition, wellbeing and the everyday dining experience for older Australians.

To celebrate the launch, our inaugural fundraising auction is now live. Bid on a three-night stay at any of our nine lodges, each paired with a bonus once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every dollar raised will go directly to our regional partners. Follow the link in bio to place your bid before the auction closes on Thursday 6 August at 11pm AEST.

There is a particular quiet to week days in the Barossa. At Appellation, the dining room settles early, the light runs long and golden across the vines, and the kitchen team has time to tell you about the just-gathered local ingredients that shape tonight’s menu.

Midweek at Appellation is the version locals and guests know. A lingering table, no rush towards the last course. A short trip home.

Our sommelier knows which Barossa growers are pouring something worth finding, and which glass to end on.

Open daily for dinner.

Dinner at Appellation begins before the first course is served, in the wine cellar. Step in, slow down, read the labels. The walk-in cellar at The Louise holds the Barossa’s story in bottle form - from smaller neighboring vineyards to the iconic Hill of Grace - and there’s no hurry to choose.

No agenda this afternoon. Just two chairs angled toward the vines, a glass of something deliciously local, and a cheese board that knows its region well.

Your suite is named Marananga, as the First Nations Peramangk and Ngadjuri people call this peaceful creekside hamlet, a reminder that the Barossa's stories run far deeper than its cellars.

Some pairings are natural. Fire and charcuterie. A long dinner and the right wine beside it. The Barossa and The Louise.

The Perfect Pairing brings them all together: two nights in a luxury suite, nightly dinner at Appellation with a wine matched to every course, an afternoon of local charcuterie shaed beside the Speakeasy fire, and a Swirl Session or Artist Talk experience to round out the stay.

Daily gourmet breakfast, pre-dinner drinks, and early check-in or late check-out where we can.
