Well it’s that time of year! Autumn pruning done, winter tidy up is ongoing.
Winter colour ready to plant as summer’s annuals fade . Next will be the roses when they finally finish flowering, still making the most of the season . Everything slows down and our attention will return inside to finish off our upstairs renovations .
Let the fun begin!

Escaping for just a couple of hours serves as a gentle reminder of how beautiful this region is and how privileged we are to live in this amazing part of the world. We receive many international guests from all over the world, and today's drive was a great reminder of why they love to travel to the South West region to explore and experience such beauty.

What stories can you tell me?

I love vintage and antique pieces that are unique and have character. I wonder what their journey has been throughout the years, what purpose they were originally for, and how they have now become part of Rosewoods story. I found these treasures at South West Bottega in Vasse. A must-visit! Good food, good people, good stories.

One man's trash is now my treasure ❣️Many thanks to the wonderful Witchcliffe resident who gifted two old bikes 🙏 They now have a new life in the garden, my Yin and Yang. I love to think of ways to repurpose items into my garden to give it character and soul.

{JOURNEY WITH ROSEWOOD }

Following the completion of guest departures and room preparations for new arrivals, an opportunity arose to explore Bridgetown, which was hosting a garden fair at the historic Ford House. The picturesque countryside was a serene escape and a wonderful reminder of our beautiful South West Region. The vibrant autumn colours were showcased against the stunning backdrop of sunlit rolling hills. A spectacular Autumn day.

I can’t take credit for all photos unfortunately, but the unknown photographer of some of the landscape has captured the beauty of the countryside better than I could !
