Get out in the whale-derness as the annual humpback migration begins ๐Ÿณ

The Whale Superhighway โ€“ often referred to as the Humpback Highway - is the 3,000 kilometre stretch of coastline from northern Western Australia, to their feeding grounds in Antarctica. Western Australia has the largest population of migratory Humpbacks in the world, with around 35,000 of the mammals travelling this stretch of water annually.

Follow the annual migration along the coast, starting in Flinders Bay Augusta. Check out our latest story (link in comments) to find out how you can spot these majestic creatures.

We always have some little Friends visit us... your can see them from your balcony! The Bobtails are awake and on the move ๐Ÿ‘.

The next few weeks will see them super active as the weather warms.

Three things are for certain.

1. They'll start warming themselves in the middle of the road - so please look out!

2. Inattentive drivers will start running them over so please be careful.

3. Ol mate Bobby will be very unappreciative when you stop to help move him on and take a photo ๐Ÿ˜‰

I know most people are super mindful of not squashing Bobtails, so please take a few extra seconds to scan the road ahead. They're easy to spot and easy to slow down for.

Worth noting these guys are mates for life, so every time one gets squashed they've effectively just lost their life partner ๐Ÿ˜ข .
