Donkey Orchid magic 🌼 These beauties are popping up along the Cape to Cape right now near Yallingup. Always a favourite for first-time spotters, with those unmistakable “ears” that give them their name.

Keep an eye on the trail edges this week as they won’t be around for long!

Waking up to this at SurfPoint this morning 🌿

Our one-sided bottle brush in bloom. Just another morning on Wardandi Country, where the garden does its own thing in its own season, and we get to walk through it.

Blue skies, a cold beer, and a mate who reckons they can land one on the floating kegs. CBCo Brewing Margaret River's Short Iron Range is the move on a sunny day, six undercover bays, a dam full of targets, and a bar close enough that you never have to leave your spot.

It's first come, first served during opening hours, so no booking needed, just rock up, grab a bucket of balls, and see who's buying the next round, or lunch!

It's the kind of easy, no-plan-needed day trip the South West does best, and it's just 22 minutes from SurfPoint.

Pack the day with a swing, a splash, and a schooner, then head back to us.

Drink responsibly, pick a skipper.

Nature doesn't wait for an audience. Out at the Wonnerup wetlands, just outside Busselton, wild black swans are nesting.

This is Djilba season on Wardandi Noongar country where wildflowers are blooming, wetlands are full of life, and majestic birds like our black swans are pairing up ready for the next generation to emerge. It's one of the small, wild moments that make WA's South West so special, and it's only a short diversion when you drive home from SurfPoint.

Come stay with us and explore the wetlands, forests and coastline that make this region what it is. 🌿

When the forecast turns wet, we turn up the fire 🔥 Wine, cheese, and a crackling fire at SurfPoint, the best way to spend a Margaret River wet-weather evening. “Did someone say cheese?” - Betty may appear to collect a cheese tax.

🌸 Winter is loosening its grip, welcome to Djilba!

As the cooler months ease toward spring, the bush around Margaret River is waking up. Spring flowers are starting to emerge, kangaroos are feasting on fresh new shoots, and the joeys are taking their first steps toward independence, venturing further from mum with curiosity.

It’s known as the season of conception, when the region’s frogs and wildlife start their next cycle of life. The rain hasn’t finished yet, but the sunshine is starting to win more days than it loses ☀️

Want to see it up close and personal? Join a Cape to Cape Explorer Tours adventure and experience Djilba where it happens.

Come stay with us and watch the Margaret River bush surge with life.
