Our kitchen will be closed for 10 days from June 22nd as we give it a well-deserved makeover.
🍻 The bar will still be pouring your favourites (with slightly adjusted hours), and
🍔 the legends at MR Smash will be serving up the goods from our front beer garden.

The 2025 release of Paul Dempsey’s ‘Shotgun Karaoke Vol. II’ (EMI) album saw the Something For Kate frontman revel in the stripped-back and spontaneous approach that brought the party vibes to the subsequent capital city tour. So much so, that he’s doing it again and bringing those sing-along covers to stages across regional Australia on the Shotgun Karaoke Vol. II Regional Tour from May to August!

Expect the setlist to evolve as the night rolls on with live favourites often including Don Henley’s nostalgic “Boys Of Summer” alongside Tanita Tikaram’s “Twist In My Sobriety”, Grant Lee Buffalo’s Mockingbirds“”, Jeff Buckley’s “The Last Goodbye”, David Bowie’s “Life on Mars?” and Aussie band Max Q’s 1989 hit “Way of the World” and many more.

It was wonderful to welcome so many volunteers for an evening of good company and well-deserved recognition.

West Australian garage rock legends The Stems return to the live stage in 2026 off the back of their successful sold out 40th anniversary tour across Australia and Europe releasing 2 acclaimed singles ‘Falling from the Sky’ and ‘Deep Freeze’. Currently working on their 3rd album with a new single set to be released in June to coincide with the upcoming tour dates.

Original members, Dom Mariani, Julian Matthews, Dave Shaw and Davey Lane (You Am I) are set to do it again in 2026 starting with 2 very exclusive Western Australian shows in late June a before they head off for a series of festival dates across Europe in the month of July.


The Stems attained their own legendary status in the Australian and International music scene – roaring out of Perth with a sound and style that definitively captured the spirit and enthusiasm of sixties garage music - lurching fuzz-tone guitars, brooding organ, solid gold garage-punk, and primo power pop! The Stems not only created a distinctive sonic identity but also penned unforgettable songs while delivering electrifying live performances.

In the late ‘80s, The Stems achieved acclaim with a series of singles and EPs and the timeless ‘At First Sight – Violet are Blue’ LP in 1987. The group disbanded in late 1987 and made a significant comeback in 2003, playing to sold-out crowds nationwide. Since then, they have continued to tour regularly in front of audiences across Australia, Europe, Japan, and the United States.
