Hillocks Drive embraces several kilometres of spectacular, rugged coastline interspersed with quiet, sandy beaches and rock pools. Kangaroos, emus, pygmy possums and native birds abound in nearby scrubland. The area is renown for excellent surf and rock fishing for Salmon, Tommy Ruff, Snook, Sweep, Squid and Mullet, to name just a few. Bush camping, Ocean Pods and a homestead are available for hol

idays rental. Drinking water, bait, ice,wood(in fire season) and basic supplies can be purchased at the on-site shop. Here hot showers and toilets and Eco Toilets are also available. Hillocks Drive has many beaches, most are safe for swimming, snorkelling and fishing. Come fish, explore and camp at Hillocks Drive!!

Good morning everyone and what a beautiful morning it is!
This is our last LWE before the camping season ends on June 18th and it looks like the weather gods are gunna be smiling on us!
A bit of sunshine, great campfire temperatures and light N,NW winds all weekend.
Perfect for Hillocks Drive - Butlers Beach .
There will be decent swell this weekend but there's nothing I like more than hearing the beach boom at night.
If your looking last minute for something to do we still have sites available to stay and are open all weekend for day visiting to!

What a difference a year makes! Good to see the ocean is resilient and recovering. We are very lucky

This one from Ross Jones of 'emu rising'.

A dark constellation in aboriginal australian astronomy formed by dust lanes in the milky way, 'Rising' in April/May.

The celestial emu (Gawarrgay) was used by indigenous australians and its position signals the emu breeding seasons and guides food collection.

In 1993 or '94 a group of dads came to Hillocks Drive - Butlers Beach with their children on a camping/fishing trip. They stayed at a campsite behind the dunes called PaNoMa which roughly translated, means dads no mums!😆
They all survived!!🤣🤣
This has now become a tradition for them so much so that it now spans 3 generations!!
Amazing!!
Today was such a beautiful sight to see them all on the beach, enjoying the sunshine and teaching the newest generation how to catch a fish.
And boy did they catch fish! Mullet fish fingers for tea🐟🐟

Saw this white bellied sea eagle earlier today and wasnt quick enogh to get a picture. Seems like its hanging about which is a good sign AND looked in v good condition.Mother nature is showing signs of recovery. The earth has amazing resilience. Video at TC's
