Step into the world of the Never Never and explore the history that inspired Jeanie Gunn’s famous novel! At Mataranka Springs, you can visit a replica of the Elsey Homestead, where her story of life in the early 1900s comes to life. Don’t miss the old buggy from the movie, displayed right outside our restaurant. For a deeper connection with the characters from the book, head to the Old Elsey Cemetery, just 21 km south of town.

Remember, if you Never Never go, you’ll Never Never know!

Territory Manor Motel and Caravan Park is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, and our logo reflects the essence of what makes our park special. Each element in the logo represents something meaningful—from the barramundi in local waters to the waves symbolizing Mataranka’s thermal pools. The fir tree captures the nearby forest, while the tents highlight our camping spirit. Hidden within are the initials "T" and "M" for Territory Manor.

The colours also carry significance: green for the forest, yellow for the sun, blue for the lakes, and ochre for the cabins.

Our friendly local peacocks love to stroll through the park, adding a bit of colour wherever they go! 🦚

These gorgeous, wild birds often wander over from the nearby wetlands and sometimes even make their way into Mataranka township. It’s always fun to spot them showing off their bright feathers as they explore the grounds!

ABOUT US

Michael, Sharleen & Mater would like to welcome you to The Territory Manor Motel & Caravan Park. With our friendly and welcoming staff we endeavour to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable while staying at The Territory Manor.

We recently purchased The Territory Manor in December 2019. Our park comprises of 26 uniquely Australian rammed earth motel rooms. 16 ensuite powered caravan sites, 34 powered caravan sites, and unlimited non-powered camping sites. The Territory Manor has an inviting sparkling blue swimming pool for you to relax and enjoy your stay, as well as a large undercover camp kitchen.

The Barramundi feeding will be returning by May of 2020, starting with our interactive Barra fingerling experience, where you can come and touch a barramundi. We also have an abundance of wildlife at the park, from our resident peacocks, rock wallabies and birds.

We are centrally located to both the Mataranka Hot Springs, and the Bitter Springs Thermal waters. Our family looks forward to meeting you and making your time with us enjoyable and relaxing.
