Father’s Day at Shadow Creek 6th September

We’re kicking things off with a beer for Dad and mini “Real Men Don’t Eat Quiche”.
Then settle in for two pizzas to share: slow cooked lamb and pickled red onion and a funghi and manchego pizza.

A bottle to share from our range because Father’s Day deserves a nice bottle and we finish with a chocolate stout cake with berries.
$75 per person.

Old-vine Grenache, dry-grown Shiraz, bright Mediterranean whites and a very good rosé, with a few plates on the side to keep things interesting.

All poured from our pretty little cellar door overlooking the creekline.

The rain is here.

The creek is moving, the gums smell fresh, the vines are getting a drink, and our alpaca is standing there like winter has personally wronged him.

A little wet, a little knock-kneed.

A rare winter feast is coming to Shadow Creek.
This August, we’re setting long tables on the gravel terrace beside the cellar door, overlooking Turraparri creek line and old gums.
Chef Jamie Steele and team will work the fire, cooking lamb from just over the fence slowly over coals, with seasonal Fleurieu produce, shared plates and an evening of Shadow Creek wine included.

As the light fades, the fire takes over. Coals glowing, smoke curling, old vine wines in glass and the scent of lamb cooking over open flame.
Rug up in your warm layers and settle in for an afternoon that moves slowly into evening.
Fire-lit. Full of flavour. Held under the stars with views to the vines, gums and creek line.

Wine tasting weather.

We’re open today for wine tastings inside the cellar door - warm, relaxed and out of the weather.

Settle in with a tasting of the Shadow Creek range, from our Mediterranean whites through to old-vine Grenache, Shiraz and Cabernet.

Share plates, pizza and bottles are available if you feel like staying a little longer.

The colder months have arrived at Shadow Creek.

Fires lit. Reds open. Slow conversation stretching a little longer than planned.

Rug up and settle in beside the creekline with wines built for this time of year — old vine Grenache from nearly 100-year-old vines, our two very different Shiraz releases, and a Cabernet that’s really coming into its own as the cooler weather settles over McLaren Vale. Just 45 mins south of Adelaide.

Smoke in the air. Birds overhead. Fire going.
