Last week, we took the AHA (Vic) x TikTok Roadshow across Eastern, Northern, Western Victoria and the Melbourne CBD, and the response from Victorian pubs and hotels has been incredible.
✅ 325 members attended
✅ 4 council regions visited
We were proud to be joined along the way by key parliamentary leaders, including the Leader of the Opposition - Jess Wilson, the Deputy Leader of the Nationals - Darren Chester MP, the Shadow Minister for Liquor and Gaming - Tim McCurdy MP and the Shadow Assistant Minister for Small Business -Martin Cameron MP, who all engaged directly with our members on the challenges and opportunities facing hospitality today.
At each stop, we met publicans and hoteliers who are keen to embrace TikTok as a powerful tool to reach the next generation of customers and showcase the heart of their venues in a new, digital-first era. They learned tools and tricks to engage customers on the platform via an in-depth "Tiktok for Hospitality Masterclass" delivered directly by experts from TikTok.
Every attendee walked away with a TikTok “starter kit,” complete with ring light, lapel microphone and 30-day filming ideas cue cards, to help them hit the ground running with practical, venue-ready content ideas.
A huge thank you to our members, parliamentary guests and the team at TikTok for helping us deliver this national-first initiative for Victoria’s pubs and hotels. This is just the beginning of how our industry can show up where customers are spending their time, and turn online attention into realtime visits.
