This is the view from Studio Peet sent from Cara 🙏 This is just what Paris LOOKS (& sounds) like, but Caras story (written below in her text to me) is what Paris can FEEL like when you go beyond the touristy surface! As well as a reminder (hopefully) that the world doesn't stop being beautiful because its also being complicated (protests)

And NO this story below doesn't happen to everyone! It happens to those who wander into their own discoveries instead of queueing for famous ones. Who strike up conversations instead of photographing menus. Who are genuinely open & not performing for content. There are no photos to go with this story!

"This placed is about a 15min walk (from Peets). It’s phenomenal. On the list for getting a Michelin ⭐️ so we booked lunch bc they're booked months for dinner. We had a fun experience, struck up a convo with this attractive youngish French guy next to us & then his friends showed up, all very Parisian & friendly. Smoking ci******es, extremely stylish men & women. Curious about where we were from & said they were “in the w**e industry.” Turns out the attractive young guy is the owner & invited us back for dinner the next night & made us a reservation as “friends & family.” We showed up & he was there with his family. He buys us a bottle of ch*****ne & tells the wait staff to treat us like his friends. We ordered everything & bottle of ch*****ne. We were next to 3 gorgeous Korean women in Paris for fashion week. They LOVED my husband, giggling at his stories & jokes. He speaks some Korean after living in Seoul, & buys them a bottle of ch*****ne. Owner comes over & made us feel like celebrities. He & Jesse then go have shots @ the bar together 😆 Tells Jesse he needs to know how lucky he is to have a gorgeous American wife lol Its a tiny bistro so everyone hears. I’m a little embarrassed. When our bill came, the owner had covered our entire alcohol bill"

Heres the truth, Parisians are surrounded by tourists & see clearly who's there to experience paris & who's there to consume it. So when they experience someone brave enough to go off track & interact too, they show you everything - their warmth, generosity & wonderful humanity!

This is not a tourist experience. It's a Parisian one. Available to anyone willing to trade touristy for a little sovereignty!

Groups travelling to Paris you can book 2 or 3 apartments within the same building or within the same village - so you can be neighbours together, & be like Parisian residents, in your own private Paris homes, with Petite Paris 💛✨

Sometimes the answer is simple🪞A Paris B&B that whispers style through quiet simplicity. That's B&B Marine. And my guest Charisse felt it it immediately — and booked it for March 2027 within moments of seeing it. She fell in love with it!

And these are fresh photos just in from Marine herself, and they capture exactly what makes this place feel otherworldly. A private entry suite in the Latin Quarter, sitting on a pedestrian-only historic cobblestone passage — a secret little hallway that leads to the famous Rue Mouffetard.

No traffic. No noise. Just the sound of Parisian footsteps on the cobblestones headed to the brasseries at the end of the passage.

Do you over-prepare for travel out of anxiety or curiosity?? There's a difference!!

All those "mistakes to avoid in Paris" articles? I get what they're trying to do. They want you to feel like you belong by having you avoid making mistakes!!

But belonging doesn't arrive by rehearsing. It arrives by showing up as yourself first, mistakes and all!

Thats the thing with travel, its MEANT to put you face to face with every insecurity, every fear of being seen, every quiet dread of not fitting in! Avoid all of that and you miss the pot of gold at the end of the journey. That healing sense of SELF-acceptance that only travel can bring!

And FYI being Parisian doesn't mean not making mistakes. You're a traveller (and human), you're GOING to make mistakes!!

Being Parisian means knowing who you are and being yourself unapologetically — mistakes and all. Ironically, exactly like real Parisians! Who are too busy being perfectly imperfect themselves than to tell you how to 'be Parisian'

To be Parisian is to be Human. Not Perfect! 🥐🪞

What better way is there to Feel Alive (and be totally Parisian) in Paris than to go to the Celine Dion concert?! Because thats what Teresa is doing!!! Aaaah and there is no better way to end September either than right here, with Theresa! Returning to Paris Solo, trying a NEW village alone AND Hitting a concert in Paris Solo 🥰 I Salut you lady!!

Theresa is staying in Montmartre village right now, in our gorgeous Apartment Lisette, yet also meeting up with our beautiful B&B host Alvin because last year she stayed in Alvins Petite Apartment... and thats just what happens when you connect with a Petite B&B host while you stay in their home. The connection and friendship is forever, and yes its ok to swap and try new Petite homes... its all Petite family 🥰

Theresa has been sharing with me her little discoveries around this new part of Paris too in Montmartre village that she didnt get to explore last year, Enjoying the famous Boris Lume Boulangerie and stumbling on a Brocante pop up on the streets... 💛✨

But now Im impatiently waiting to hear about her Celine Dion concert experience!! ✨ Seriously, when she told me she booked it even though she (like me) isnt necessarily a huge Céline Dion fan, i thought YES, what a cool thing to do. Céline Dion being in Paris is massive. The Parisians are obsessed with her and experiencing this really special comeback concert in the place where she is most loved is the most PARIS thing to do in Paris right now!! I would absolutely do the same and enjoy every minute of it!! Enjoy Theresa!!

Ps, last available dates for Lisettes apartment for November and December coming tomorrow, in case anyone is ready to say 'fck it take me to Paris' before 2027 ends, stay tuned...

You can always travel to paris solo, stay in a hotel or an apartment, go sightseeing and hope to find some of those serendipitous conversations that happen en-route, OR, you can stay in a home with a built in caring host and friend, that brings you CLOSER to Paris, and Paris closer to YOU!

This is beautiful Sue from NSW Australia, hanging out with Antonella our darling Parisian/Italian hostess, just last week in the local marais village near Antonellas B&B - where Sue stayed of course 💛

And these 3 simple words from Sue 'I've loved Paris' attached to a photo of just her and Antonella, says EVERYTHING!!

How you stay in a city when you travel can change how you experience that city...and you in it!!

And Solo travel was never about proving you can be alone in a room and indulging in beautiful sparkling ch*****ne selfies on a cafe terrace, we all know that loneliness and disconnection still lurks there...

Solo travel is about THIS instead!! Finding a new friend is finding a new you in Paris. And I think thats what 'Ive loved Paris' really means.
