Melbourne’s original art hotel; Located in lively Fitzroy Street St Kilda, this colourful, arty hotel is a 5-minute walk to the iconic St Kilda Beach, a 10-minute walk from roller coaster rides at Luna Park and a 20-minute tram ride into Melbourne’s CBD.
The phrase "if only the walls could speak" has never been used in a more appropriate circumstance than when delving into the colourful history of St Kilda’s iconic Tolarno Hotel. The hallways and guest room walls are highlighted by original local artwork reminiscent of the days when it was owned and operated by renowned artist, Mirka Mora and her husband George, who lived and operated the Tolarno Gallery from this building back in the 1960’s/1970’s.
Each of the Tolarno Hotel’s 35 guest rooms have been individually styled, with no two rooms being the same, each has it’s own unique colour scheme and original award winning artwork.
