It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that our dear friend and much loved patron, Richard Nightingale, has passed away.

Richard wasn’t just a familiar face at the bar he was family. He brought light, laughter, and kindness into every corner of this pub. Whether he was sharing a story, cracking a joke, or offering a quiet word of comfort, Richard had a way of making everyone feel welcome.

He was the kind of man who made this place what it is a community, a home, a family. His warmth and generosity touched so many of us, and his spirit will always be part of the heartbeat of this pub.

Though his chair may now be empty, his presence will never leave us. He’ll live on in every shared laugh, every raised glass, and every friendship that was formed under this roof.

Rest peacefully, Richie. You’ll never be forgotten, forever part of our family, forever part of this place.
