Choose from a great range of en suite cabin accommodation, retro glamping and holiday homes. All properties come with full facilities, linen and towels along with a private deck, seating and BBQ’s. Something exciting is happening right on our doorstep next Saturday! 🎉

The Rye Community Festival is coming to the foreshore on 2nd May and it’s going to be a big one. Live music, samba drumming, circus acts, giant bubbles, kids’ workshops, food trucks, a licensed bar, botanical vodka tastings and a Rotary sausage sizzle – all day, right by the water. 🌊

Staying at Kanasta means you can walk straight there with the whole family (four-legged members included 🐾). No driving, no parking dramas – just a stroll to the festivities and back.

🎡 The Rye Carnival is back — and into its 71st year! 🎡
Every summer it surprises us just how special this local tradition is.

Every year it's a surprise to see the Rye Carnival back.

Now into it's 71st year Sorrento News asked owner Michael Wittingslow if he'd heard the rumours every year that it'll be the Carnival's last? Smiling he responded by keeping the rumours alive and not being committal into the future of the carnival beyond January 2026. Around 80,000 people attend the festivities on the Rye Foreshore from now until the Australia Day weekend. It's the fourth generation with Michael's son now at the helm. "The Rye Carnival is as old as me!" says Michael. It was born the same year he was, by his grandfather, a POW raising money for the Rye RSL and the Carnival grew from what was originally bingo at the RSL.
