Unhurried is the right word for September down here.

The whales hit their peak. September to November is the best stretch of the year for it. Father’s Day lands on the 6th. Seaside Markets are back at Ford Park on the 20th, and Four Winds has Radical Son on the 27th. School holidays don’t start until the 28th, so the first three weeks are as quiet as August was.

Best time to surf: Early morning, before the nor’easter kicks in. Winter swells from the south and south-west are doing the work at the moment.
