❗️ ACT BORDER BUBBLE EXPANDED - TRAVEL FOR ANY REASON ❗️
ACT Health has confirmed a further expansion of its border bubble to now include all of Eden-Monaro.
ACT Health has also removed the list of reasons for travel - meaning people can travel freely between Canberra and NSW.
These changes come into effect from midday today. ⏱
I was honestly shocked earlier this week when Adelong missed out on being included in the bubble when most other parts of the Snowy Valleys made it in.
I have been working closely with the ACT Government and I'm thrilled to share that not only is Adelong now in the bubble but so too are the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla LGAs.
🔴What does this mean? 🔴
This means Eden-Monaro residents can now enter Canberra without needing an exemption for any reasons.
As ACT is no longer on the NSW concerns notice - when people return to NSW from Canberra they will not need to follow stay at home orders.
Basically - people can now travel freely between the two areas. ✅
When NSW residents travel into the ACT they will need to follow ACT Public Health Directions, including mandatory masks indoors and outdoors - and using the Check in CBR app.
ACT residents will need to follow NSW vaccination requirements when they travel.
🟣This is great news 🟣
For weeks I have been working with both the ACT and NSW Governments to make the rules and restrictions as easy as possible to follow.
I know people in Eden-Monaro are sick of having to navigate complicated and confusing border arrangements, so I am pleased that things are getting back to normal.

I understand some areas of the South West Slopes along the Victorian border are yet to be included. Eden-Monaro residents in these areas can contact my office directly if they need assistance in travelling to the ACT.
