💛 Our first duckling of the season! 💛

Our wetlands are welcoming new life, and we couldn’t be more excited to spot our very first duckling of the season.

💛Charlie—the ever-charming 7-year-old lab and beloved resident pooch of the Park Hyatt Melbourne—swapped city strolls for coastal serenity at Merricks Cottage, enjoying a weekend escape with his humans.

Such a beautiful boy… we hope to welcome him back again very soon 🐶💛

Sasha 🐾✨
This gorgeous 12-month-old Shetland Sheepdog had the best time at the cottage with her hoomans 💛 From zoomies in the fresh air to making new friends, every moment was an adventure!
One of her highlights? Meeting Twinkle 💫 — safely through the fence, of course!
We think Sasha might be planning her next visit already 😉🌿

Sammy’s Australia Day long weekend getaway at Merricks Cottage looked pretty perfect 🐶✨

💬 From Sammy’s humans:

We had a fantastic stay at Merricks Cottage with our dog Sammy. It was simply perfect. Lots of lovely little touches from the host, including some welcome treats for humans and dogs!We would highly recommend a stay here. The cottage and gardens were immaculate, so full of character and clearly a lot of love has gone in to creating the perfect place for guests to enjoy, year round. The location is hard to beat - walking distance Merricks General Store and Stonier winery and a short drive to many beaches, yet the cottage is so relaxing you feel a million miles away from day to day life. We stayed during a heatwave and the aircon was very good. We will be back!

Thank you for choosing Merricks Cottage - we loved hosting you all 🤍
