Metung Holiday Villas offers quality, affordable accommodation in beautiful Metung. Just 3.5 hours from Melbourne, this four star resort has a range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets. Each villa is fully self-contained, all have reverse-cycle air conditioning, private balconies with outdoor settings, and in most cases, individual barbecues. Everything has been thought of to make your stay hassle free, including the provision of all linen, towels and guest amenities. All Villas have a comprehensive list of cookware items for those who want to stay in and simply enjoy the surrounds. A covered heated pool is set to 26 degrees between the months of September through to May. Centrally located in the property is a children’s playground, where the kids can safely play and burn off some excess energy. All of this is set under a canopy of beautiful trees amidst terraced native gardens. An easy 10-12 minute walk will take you to the centre of the Metung Village with its restaurants, bakery, cafes, boutique shops and waterfront hotel. Advice on seafood in the Gippsland Lakes between Nungurner and Lakes Entrance has changed. Advice continues to be in place due to algae levels in some parts of the lakes.

✅ Mussels and crabs caught between Nungurner and Lakes Entrance have been tested and are safe to eat.
🦐 Prawns have not yet been tested as they are still juveniles. They will be tested once mature and available for harvest.
🐟 Continue to gut and gill fish before cooking and eating.
📍 Advice remains unchanged west of Nungurner, including Lake King, Lake Victoria and Lake Wellington.

If catching or collecting seafood west of Nungurner:
🔹 Do not collect or eat shellfish, prawns or crabs
🔹 Gut and gill fish before cooking and eating
🔹 Do not cook or eat whole fish

Seafood sold by licensed commercial operators in Lakes Entrance is safe to eat and subject to regular testing and food safety requirements overseen by Safe Food Victoria.
