I was just approved a $10,000 government grant to present musicians at the pub...pity I had to refuse it. Angela Borelli, who is the editor of the Murtoa newspaper (she is also leaving the region and has her house for sale) helped me with the application for the grant and I thank her for her excellent professional assistance. Yes I had to reject the offer. Rather a shame. "The Town Which Closed Itself Down" says my mate in Kerang.

it seems that the painting at the hotel will be done soon...then perhaps someone might be mad enough to reopen it.

The Hotel will be closed tomorrow night and Saturday night. It will not reopen for some weeks.

Corned beef is the special on tonight. Also have porterhouse pepper steaks, lasagne and wine fruit trifle made here of course.

I am sorry to say that I have just had a conversation with Jex Saarelaht and cancelled his trip to the pub here in Minyip this coming weekend. Jex is a great piano player. So the gig is off man.
