Sometimes the best ideas don't happen around the boardroom table.
This week we had the pleasure of hosting the leadership team from Corporate Challenge Events here at Cradle Gateway.
Over two days there were workshops, planning sessions, lots of coffee... and plenty of conversations around the fire.
One of the nicest moments for us wasn't something we organised.
It was overhearing the team talking about the little things.
The welcome.
The warmth.
The personalised notes and gifts.
The feeling of slowing down.
The way our team greeted them.
Those little moments sparked conversations about how they might create that same feeling for the people they work with.
That reminded us why we love what we do.
We're not just offering accommodation or a conference venue.
We're creating a place where people can step away from the everyday, reconnect with each other, think a little differently and leave inspired.
Thank you to the wonderful team from Corporate Challenge Events for trusting us with your retreat. We loved having you and wish you every success as you take your ideas back across Australia and New Zealand.

Winter has arrived... and so have a few new cosy additions.

We couldn't resist adding a little extra warmth to our fire pit area.

Soft throws.
Hot chocolate.
A crackling fire.
Fresh mountain air.

Sometimes the best part of a trip isn't the big adventure.

It's sitting quietly around a fire, warming your hands on a mug, watching the sun disappear behind the trees and realising you don't actually need to be anywhere else.

If the forecast is right, Thursday is shaping up to be a spectacular snow day in Moina.

Sometimes the best part of the day is the quiet afterwards.

This week we welcomed Tourism Tasmania and some wonderful local businesses to Cradle Gateway for lunch and a chance to share what we're building here in Moina.

After the café closed and everyone had gone home, I sat by the fire pit with one last coffee and reflected on the conversations we'd had.

There are some exciting ideas beginning to grow - not just for Cradle Gateway, but for our whole region.

Thank you to everyone who visited, shared their stories and continues to support local tourism and local businesses.

We can't wait to share more with you soon. ☕🔥

Big news and a little opportunity all in one 😊

We’re excited to share that we’ve recently expanded, with the purchase of Cradle Forest alongside our existing Cradle Gateway Chalets & Café here in Moina

Perfect timing too—with the Lake Barrington rowing events happening, we’ve had a couple of very last-minute changes and now have limited accommodation available:

Cradle Gateway Chalets – 5 self-contained chalets (22- 24 March
Cradle Forest – 3 rooms (20–24 March)

If you (or someone you know) are heading to the rowing and still looking for a place to stay, we’re just a short scenic drive away and offer a peaceful, cosy base to relax after a big day on the water.
