Back in September our Year 11 students enjoyed activities including mountain bike, canoeing and environmental service on their final camp at Camp Laurence. They took the next step on their school journey with a ceremonial Mass and white shirt presentation attended by parents and school leaders.

A BIG shout out to these two guys. Jay Irwin (left) was our Program Coordinator for 3 years here at Camp Laurence. He was instrumental in the program development, amazing with staff, students and teachers, not to mention his contagious energy that filtered through the camp! Thank you Jay and we wish you all the very best in the future.

What a difference 1 week can make for these Camp Laurence locals!
Last week the kangaroos were retreating from the heat under our accommodation building and this week they are loving the new green growth from the recent rain on the oval!
Lake Moogerah is currently sitting at 15.8% capacity so fingers crossed we continue to receive some more rain as predicted.

Yesterday, Camp Laurence was host to 'The Final EDGE' graduation day for Boonah State School Blue EDGE program.

Blue EDGE (Educate, Develop, Grow, Empower) is a program of physical training designed to extend a young person’s mind and physical capability. The
program also includes career education, motivational speakers and mentoring with a view to having youth actualise their potential.

The program runs for eight weeks, with two training sessions per week to build routine. It finishes after the 8th week with a graduation day named ‘The Final EDGE’.
