📣 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT... Please read!

It is with great sadness that we must announce today, that after 2 years in operation, Lady on the Lake will be closing to the Public from the 31st of May 2021.

We have been battling with this decision for the past 6 months, and have tried every way to remain open, but unfortunately our hand has been forced and we must close.

The property was built for Private use in 1997 by Karen & her late husband Derek. After taking time for herself, after her husbands passing, Karen was ready to open her Property to the public in 2019. Unfortunately through the transition from being a Private Property to a Public Business, we have been notified by the local Council of a few issues with our buildings and Waste services, not being approved for Commercial use. We were unaware of these issues at the time of opening , otherwise we would have of course rectified this prior.

We have been working closely with many different Council departments for the past 6 months, to remain open, but unless we spend a LARGE amount of money, very quickly to relocate services, etc we are not allowed to remain open as we are. They have been very generous in allowing us to remain open through til the end of May so we can host our last Wedding and Camp groups here at LOTL.

Karen opened the property to the public due to the demand and requests she received and wanted to share our amazing location with all! It was never about making money as she was already retired, it was more about sharing the fun and memories that Lake Moogerah brings. At this stage in her life and after coming out of retirement to open LOTL, it is not viable for us to spend the money required to meet Council regulations in order to remain open.

We would like to thank the Local Council & SEQ Water for working so closely with us for the past 6 months while we tried to rectify any issues. They could have shut us down straight away, but they didn’t, and allowed us time to work it out and remain open for our guests.

Karen is so very grateful for all of the support she has received in the past 2 years and we would like to thank each and everyone of you for this! We have an amazing group of followers and campers who have always shown us great support and kindness. We are deeply saddened that we can longer invite you to share our home. 😢😭

Thankyou again for your support we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this has caused our upcoming bookings. We will miss the sound of laughter and joy echoing through our property and hope you will still travel to Lake Moogerah and our surrounding towns to visit our beautiful region.

When you book to stay with us, you Book Out the ENTIRE PROPERTY! Thats 60 Acres to yourselves with no Neighbours in sight!

Along with access to 60 Acres of Lake front property, you also have access to our BUSH HUT! Your home away from home & our secret spot to 'Glamp' at Lake Moogerah.

The BUSH HUT is a fully self contained Open Cabin with air conditioned sleeping quarters housing 2x Queen Size beds (Linen Provided). Any extra guests can Camp on the property surrounding the BUSH HUT.
