📣 Important Announcement from Moonan Flat Pub 🍻

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Moonan Flat Pub has officially closed its doors.

This has been an incredibly difficult decision—one made only after thoughtful and careful consideration. Since taking ownership in September 2021, right in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic and LGA restrictions, we’ve poured our hearts into restoring and growing the much-loved pub you know today.

We are deeply proud of what we’ve built together—a place known for good food, cold beer, great company, and warm community spirit. While our chapter comes to a close, we’re hopeful that a new owner will soon take the reins and carry on this legacy.

This Wednesday night the boys will be at Moonan Flat Pub 😊😊

A team of Newcastle Knights Old Boys and mates are pulling on their bike cleats to take on an epic 300km+ ride for the third year running🚴🏼

Led by club legend Kurt Gidley, the crew includes Daniel Abraham, Robbie Tew, Luke Quigley, Trent Salkeld, Chris Houston, Todd Polglase, Matt Kennedy, James Wynne, Jamie Fitzgerald, Chris Bailey, and local businessmen Rhys Smith, Robbie McNaughton, Marty Parker, and John Holland.

Their journey officially begins on Tuesday, May 20th with an event at the Wallabadah Hotel 🍻 Wednesday morning the adventure starts, with a 100km ride from Wallabadah to Moonan Flat, followed by a get together at Moonan Flat Pub Thursday is another 100km stretch to Gloucester where the team will meet the locals at Roundabout Inn and get ready for the final and toughest leg. The riders will cover 130km to Newcastle on day three, pushing themselves to the limit for a cause close to their hearts.

Driven by mateship, community spirit, and a passion to make a difference, these riders are pushing themselves to help fund brain cancer research and patient support.
