"My friend and I just had a girls’ weekend at The Phoenix Resort in Moree. We highly recommend! It has new owners. It has gorgeous secure gates at the entrance to the property which make you feel safe but not like you’re in a prison. The rooms have recently been renovated and were lovely, fresh and clean. Our beds were super comfy. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful.
The pools were great. We enjoyed the outdoor pool both day and night and loved the indoor pools too with 2 to choose from plus 2 spas. A sauna is coming soon.
We had a wander around the town which is actually quite a pretty town with some lovely heritage buildings. We didn’t feel unsafe at all however we were aware of the high-crime reputation and exercised caution - realistically as we should anywhere.
We went to Moree because it has the closest pools to us in Brisbane. I think we will make it a regular trip."
