Our upstairs verandah is home to Miss Mullens Bar, overlooking the Hunter River. The Commercial Hotel Morpeth is an historic hotel situated in the heart of beautiful Morpeth, located opposite the Morpeth Bridge and overlooking the Hunter River. The Commercial is a hotel where you will be greeted warmly and before long your name will be known. The Commercial has a strong focus on food and wine. The

hotel Bistro is open 5 days for Lunch & Dinner, with indoor and outdoor dining and air-conditioning. The Bistro Menu changes seasonally and is complimented by daily specials. We endeavour to support and shop locally and use the freshest ingredients we can source. There is something different on offer every day of the week - including Trivia, a member Badge Draw, Social Raffles. Whilst these are pub staples, our events have more flavour than most and are housed in a homely, familiar and jovial environment. During the year there are great festivals and events held in and around the Commercial - including Anzac Day celebrations, Melbourne Cup and live music including some great artists and performers.

This Thursday, our pasta specials look a little like this!.. fennel, pork and rigatoni ragu.. salmon and thyme linguine in garlic and white wine sauce with lemon zest

And already thinking of our Son of a Bull Pinot Noir (gosh it's lovely) with the Ragu and the Em's Table Riesling (snappy divineness i cannot get enough) to pair with the Linguine.

This weekend at The Commercial was a BIG one — functions, celebrations, parties and get-togethers happening in every area of the hotel, from go to woe.

Thank you all deeply for continuing to fill this place with life!

To those who joined us yesterday and experienced longer wait times than you should have — I’m genuinely sorry. Our wish is for every person who walks through our doors to have a great experience. We’re listening and learning, and working hard to make sure we can deliver when the place is this busy. Heartfelt thanks to our team that dug deep.

Which leads me to…. We’re building our TEAM so we’re ready for everything that’s coming - so, EXPERIENCED HOSPO STAFF, I want you!
