So after another lovely season we have popped up the closed sign to take sometime to catch up on self maintenance (this getting older thing can be challenging!🤣) and park maintenance.
So for now thank you to everyone that came to stay at our little bit of paradise this year and we look forward to seeing all those that are planning to adventure north next year!

So we are heading towards the end of a magnificent wet season, everything is green, lush and flowering so on Monday 3rd April it’s time to fling the gates open and welcome all those FNQ adventurers to enjoy our spot of paradise once again!
Whether you are planning to just base yourselves here to day trip to all the fabulous places around us, head north to the wonderful Cape York while we look after your van or just sit and enjoy the birds, peace and quiet the choice is yours! We are strongly recommending booking as many people have already done so! Give us a call on 07 4094 3160 and we will happily have a chat and assist with your planning!

We would just like to let everyone know that we have popped up the closed sign for a period while we catch up on some medical appointments (🙄😬🫣🤪) and undertake some maintenance of caravan park ready for all those venturing north in 2023!
Bookings have started for next year so please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Happy New Year to everyone!Thankfully the start of the New Year bought some much needed rain which has seen the caravan park explode with greenery - this has seen the start of the countless mowing hours for the next few months and the down side of March Flies!!
The local mine has ramped up significantly and hence we would like to let you all know that bookings will be required from here on in for powered and unpowered sites. Free van storage is still offered for those venturing to the Cape on the same two night stay basis.
Also all our holiday units are now fully booked for the year.
We hope that everyone is staying safe and well and look forward to seeing those that are lucky enough to be heading to FNQ this year!!😎🌴

So Charlie (girl) has become the newest member of the Mt Carbine family. Thank you to the Laney family for entrusting us to let her rule our roost!! She loves helping with the bookwork!!😎🌴

We are very pet friendly at Mt Carbine though this week has seen some unusual visits with chickens and the most beautiful Beau!

EXCITING NEWS!
From Monday July 6th we’ll be re- opening!😎🌴
Due to some of the new safety requirements life will be a little different to start with so that we can keep one and all as safe as possible.
These changes include:
- Bookings will be essential (this will be reviewed as restrictions ease!)
- A Covid declaration form will be required to be completed by all our guests.
- Site placement will occur based on required Covid measures and group or families travelling together.
- The camp kitchen has been closed for the season.

Our usual special of stay 5 nights then get 2 free still applies!

And for those wanting to travel to the Cape without their van we are happy to store your van for free based on a two night stay with us with most people staying one night pre their adventure north and then one night on their return to ‘de-dust’!!😀 Plus we will store any fridge or freezer goods that you don’t want to take north for free as well!😋

So if you are lucky enough to be heading to this beautiful part of the world give us a call and we will see if we can assist in making your adventure as stress free as possible!😎

Due to current Government guidelines in regards to essential and non- essential travel we have had to make the difficult decision to no longer accept any further bookings or any ‘drive-in’ non booked customers for powered or non-powered sites.
For those of you that know us you will understand that this was not an easy decision however with the road block to the Cape only just a couple hundred metres to the north of us it was deemed the best option for the time being.
However we see this as an opportunity to continue to work on the gardens and grounds so once some normality returns a little haven will await!
We will post any updates as soon as things change!
