There is something happening in Hastings, and Deep Water Lounge is very much part of it. Moody, grown-up and a little theatrical, it brings serious food, crafted cocktails, live piano and relaxed hospitality together under one roof.

We were slow to take the hint, but our foodie friends were bang on. Deep Water Lounge is something of an anomaly in Hastings — in the best possible way — and well worth making the trip for.

This Friday, Dawn from Peninsula Wild Flower is excited to "flowerbomb" our 1970s red Farmall tractor, transforming it into a rather spectacular floral installation right here on the lawn at Hawkes Farm.

Dawn recently took her beautiful work all the way to London, where she was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Along with a few helping hands from her team, she'll be flowerbombing the tractor from 10am – 2pm on Friday, so come down and watch the installation take shape, or catch the finished work over the weekend.

Brandy is where it all began. 🥃

When our family distillery was founded in 2009, the dream was always to make exceptional Australian brandy - from scratch, from local produce, and right here on the Mornington Peninsula.

Gin has become a big part of our story along the way, but our love of brandy has never left us. It’s the spirit that started this distillery and the craft we continue to pour so much of ourselves into.

So, taking home Gold at the 2026 Sydney Royal Distilled Spirits Show for our Apple Brandy🍎feels particularly special. 🥇

For us, it’s more than a medal. It’s a wonderful reaffirmation of something we’ve believed from the very beginning: that Australia can make truly exceptional brandies.

And we’re only getting started.
