The habbys been busy with instructors teaching a wide range of courses recently.

Rubens Monaco and Linda Claridge were busy with their students all week , here is a rare photo of two diving legends together having smoko enjoying a fruit cake and coffee….. and Toby!!

Tony along side with Mick and Leon (not pictured) earned their Advanced cave certification last week… big congrats!!

The official weather report for Mount Gambier was a hot as f**k !

The habby is made of Mount Gambier limestone!
Keeps the heat out in the summer and keeps the cold out in winter !!

That and the amazing aircon system we have means members and guests don’t have to be boil in the bag rice in summer or do an impression of an ice cube in winter !!

The internal climate is always….. awesome o’clock ❤️

If you’re at a loose end or want somewhere neutral to hang out or honestly have no where else to go… you’re welcome to hang with us over Christmas and New years !!

We (I) understand that Christmas is not everyone favourite time of year for what ever reason…. And that’s ok.

We have people from all over the world coming to be together, dive and chew the s**t this year.

You’re welcome to be involved, not be involved, be around, be ok with yourself and us.

We got space, time and effort on Christmas lunch and also NYE for you.
unless of course you have been banned already 🤣🤣🤣

Chris Paul and Jamie both Habitat #99 VIP members drove (again) all the way from NSW / Sydney/ Newcastle to the Mount for some training with Rubens Monaco from Deep Blue Ventures in the famous Tank cave.

What an incredible effort! Congratulations guys !!

See you both at Christmas!!

Congrats to Jamie Lindsell and Chris Paul on completing their TDI CCR Full Cave Upgrade with me this weekend. Some long dives were had and plenty of skills and drills on their JJ-CCRs! The two boys will sleep well tonight! F-Tunnel is a long swim!! Well done to all, had a fun time teaching you guys this weekend and a great time at the Habby Habitat #99 🙂 - Cheers Rubens

Adelaide Technical Diving , hosting a Cave Divers Association of Australia basic cave course out of the Habitat #99 last weekend for divers from all over the world /country:

Damo guiding the students around , not only how to function under water but also in the surface showing the new members around, advising on different site access and selection, an essential part of the program.

The Habby is the perfect home away from home for dive professionals and divers alike we have everything you need to he successful from a quality AIR/GAS filling station to comfortable accommodation and everything in between!

We had the pleasure of hosting three different dive professionals teaching two different courses to five different candidates over last weekend…. The classroom and the fill station all got a work out with everyone having plenty of space/time and facilities to efficiently execute a professional course in style.

Congratulations to Niamh & Keenan who completed their Cave Divers Association of Australia Basic Cave course with me over the weekend, finishing off with a fantastic dive in the world famous Kilsby's Sinkhole

Rubens Monaco from Deep Blue Ventures and John Dalla-Zuanna putting Vivian Miao and Tyler Saxton through their paces on a Cave Divers Association of AustraliaCave Divers advanced cave course.

Big congratulations to them!! Both have been Habby VIP members from the start, it’s been fantastic to watch them achieve their goals.

What a fantastic weekend in the Mount! Congrats to Tyler Saxton and Vivian Miao on completing their CDAA Advanced Cave Course and TDI Full Cave Course with me. These two have been working so hard to get to this point over the last few years and the end result was 2 very prepared and competent cave divers. Was a pleasure introducing you to Tank Cave. Special thanks to JDZ for your help on the course, and a special mention to Darren Mitchell for hosting us during the course at The Habby, as usual, 5 stars!!
