Sunday Roast….
Sunday’s were always roast day for us, as kids, normally at Lunch time.
Roast chicken was always my favourite and we’d all fight for the crispy, fat soaked piece of bread Mum would tuck under the chook - did anyone else’s Mum do this? Dripping soaked potatoes and pumpkin with home made gravy and beans that we’d help top and tail🤤
Mum would feed 6 of us off that chook and there’d always be enough for chicken sandwiches for school the next day. Have chickens shrunk or was Mum a magician 🤷♀️
To keep the tradition alive, we still do our Sunday Roast, alternating weekly and still only $20…..because you know, we need to keep some traditions alive.
This week, it’s not chicken, but a tender lamb roast.
