UpLIFT – Affinity Quartet presents a powerful trio of works: Paul Wiancko’s exhilarating LIFT, alongside Beethoven’s luminous String Quartet No.10 “Harp” and Shostakovich’s deeply expressive String Quartet No.10. From joy and reflection to tension and transcendence, this is chamber music at its most human.

Beethoven’s quartet was born during upheaval and displacement, yet sings with warmth and lyrical beauty. Shostakovich’s work emerges from life under censorship and scrutiny, carrying profound emotional weight beneath its surface. Wiancko’s contemporary voice connects it all - fresh, kinetic, and full of energy - described as a modern echo of Haydn’s spirit.

Internationally acclaimed Affinity Quartet, one of Australia’s most decorated ensembles, brings its signature intensity and insight to this extraordinary program.

Chill out on the lawns at Hanging Rock Winery at their Summer Sunday Session. Come along and have a family day out!
We’ll have live music, pizzas, delicious local produce platters, a gelati truck, some children's activities including face painting and of course, great wine by the glass and bottle!
