This week our team of travelling volunteers, with committee members had a big few days getting our access walkway closer to completion.
The team was supported by Kristy Lea Ross from Coffee Kingdom at Southside , who got up very early every day to prepare fresh sandwiches, wraps and delicious hot meals for everyone!
Many thanks Kristy! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

After many months of volunteer work, through all weather extremes, the 65 metre access ramp to improve the campsiteโ€™s inclusivity, is almost complete.
Our incredibly charitable workers from Scripture Union NSW, our engineer Dave, committee members, and local legends, are all coming together again in April for 5 days, and once again, we are generously supported by Mudgee businesses, especially Kristy from Coffee Kingdom at Southside (who is feeding our hungry mob).
An amazing, community minded lady!
Thanks to everyone!
Mike.

Orange Community Forum Australia - Polpure Responsible Waste Management is an amazing company, committed to supporting non profit organisations!
Without Nicks generosity, our community campsite would not be able to provide the service we offer schools and disadvantaged kids.
We cannot thank Nick enough!

An update on the 60 metre access ramp, financed by the Crown Lands Improvement Fund, designed by our volunteer engineer and under construction by our dedicated volunteer workers.
Progress has been slow and steady, but itโ€™s taking shape, and we hope to complete the project in February 2026.

Smokin Bro & Co

Last week a band of volunteers worked for four days constructing stage 2 of a 50m boardwalk, to assist campers with mobility issues.
Thanks to the generosity of Brody and his amazing local business, Smokin Bro & Co, the workers ate like kings every night and raved about their incredibly tasty meals.
The Smokin Bro restaurant and brewery is so unique.
If youโ€™re looking for a great dining experience we highly recommend you visit their site in Lewis Street!

As most of our user groups are aware, unfortunately the site is currently closed.
The reason being, we are well into the construction of a 50 metre disability access ramp, and the necessary excavation and materials on site means the only way to eliminate any risks to visiting campers is to close until we can finish the job.
We appreciate the work of our volunteers, and hope to be fully operational towards the end of November.
