From our years of experience with travellers staying on our property, we know people seek an authentic bush break. Old Bara offers just that, it is the real thing.

3 amenity blocks on site. Creek water on tap but please bring your own drinking water. With a range of wildlife to see, bird calls to identify, yabbies to catch, as well as several walking and cycling & 4WD tracks to explore, you are bound to have a unique and entertaining time. With a wide choice of camping spots you will be sure to find one that suits you as you sleep beneath a night sky full of stars. Please bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed, no collection of fallen timber, this is being left for wildlife. The property owners have the right to impose a total fire ban at their discretion. On the property is our Old Bara farmhouse available for holiday rental on its own private, leafy garden. For years this original farmhouse has been a popular spot for travellers, especially family groups, as it sleeps up to 10 guests. Get ready for the night of September 7–8, 2025! The world will see a stunning Blood Moon—a total lunar eclipse where Earth’s shadow makes the Moon glow deep red. 🌕❤️

The eclipse will last over 5 hours, with 82 minutes of full red Moon, one of the longest in years. Even more special, the Moon will be a supermoon, appearing bigger and brighter than usual. 🌟
