The 2026 Postie Bike Challenge is a 4,000 km endurance ride raising money for Childhood Cancer, which takes about 50 riders from Brisbane to Darwin through regional outposts including central Queensland. The Muttaburra Pub - The Exchange Hotel was pleased to host lunch for them! Its exciting for our small community.

🚨 ROAST NIGHT UPDATE… THE OVEN HAS OTHER PLANS 🤦‍♀️😂

Apparently our oven has decided it no longer wishes to participate in Sunday Roast Night and has locked itself. 🔒🙄

So, unless we manage to sweet-talk, threaten, bribe or perform some sort of electrical exorcism on it before dinner… there’ll be no roast tonight. 😭

🔥 BUT — we ARE still serving dinner!
Our normal menu will be available as usual.

And if by some miracle we defeat the oven before then, we’ll let you know and the roast may make a dramatic comeback. 😂

Apologies to all the roast lovers — please direct your complaints to the oven. We’re currently not speaking. 🤣

Calcutta kicks off at 8 followed by the auctioning of Dolly's Dream Yowie water bottle after Calcutta.
