A little moment of pride for Brookfield Maze and our beautiful Myrrhee! ❤️

Last night we attended the King Valley Tourism Association AGM and discovered something that absolutely made our day!

The new tourist information board at the Myrrhee Memorial Soldiers Hall features Brookfield Maze front and centre! 🤩

What an honour to see our little piece of paradise representing this wonderful corner of the King Valley.

And here's something you may not know...

In 2024, Airbnb named Myrrhee one of Australia's Top 10 Tiny Towns, ranking us 5th in Australia and the highest-ranked town in Victoria!

At the time, only 5% of Australians had even heard of Myrrhee. Talk about a hidden gem!

Time Out Melbourne also picked up the story, naming Brookfield Maze as one of the attractions that makes Myrrhee such a special place to visit.

We're incredibly proud to be part of this beautiful little community, surrounded by stunning countryside, wonderful people, amazing accomodation options, fabulous w**eries and so many hidden treasures.

To see Brookfield Maze featured so prominently on the new information board is a lovely reminder of how far we've come and what a special place we've been fortunate enough to call home.

Not bad for a little maze in a little town that most Australians have never heard of!

Hey everyone!

You may have heard that we’re preparing to put Brookfield Maze on the market, and we thought it was time to share the news ourselves.

After a lot of thought, we’ve decided that the time is approaching for us to find the next couple, family or group to take over the reins at Brookfield.

It hasn’t been an easy decision. We absolutely love living here, the community is so welcoming and we’re incredibly proud of what Brookfield has become. This place and its people have looked after us through both the easy times and the tough ones.

The maze is doing very well, the gardens are looking absolutely stunning, and we’ll continue welcoming visitors and doing what we do while the next chapter takes shape.

For us, though, the universe seems to have a few new plans in mind, and we feel the time is right to start looking for the people who can bring fresh energy, ideas and imagination to Brookfield and take it to another level.

The property will be coming onto the market soon, so keep an eye out for the listing and please help us spread the word. Somewhere out there, Brookfield’s next custodians may already be looking for a place just like this.

What is it about a smoky fire that draws us in? 🔥

Every time we light the fire pit on a cold, cloudy day, people seem to gravitate towards it.

Maybe it’s the warmth — although half the people standing around it aren’t actually close enough to feel much! Maybe it’s something older and more instinctive than that.

For thousands of years, fire has meant warmth, food, light, safety and company. There’s just something comforting about standing around a fire, watching the flames and sharing a yarn.

Whatever the reason, the Brookfield fire pit is doing its thing this weekend!

Come find a spot around the fire, grab a coffee or something tasty from the café and enjoy a wintery day at the Maze.
