🎉🍻 WOW… WHAT A WEEKEND! 🍻🎉

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who came through our doors for our first weekend back! ❤️
After being closed for what felt like forever, seeing the Bidgee full of familiar faces, hearing the laughs, pouring the beers and having the kitchen pumping again was the BEST feeling. 🙌
Whether you popped in for a drink, grabbed a feed or simply stopped by to say “welcome back” — thank you! The support has been absolutely incredible. 🥰

And a huge shoutout to our team for jumping straight back into the madness and absolutely smashing it! We’re still finding our feet and ironing out a few little wrinkles, but we couldn’t have asked for a better first weekend back. ❤️

Now that we’re back into the swing of things, we’ve made a few changes to the way we’re doing things around here — all aimed at keeping things running smoothly and making sure we can look after everyone the best we can! 🙌

📞 **BOOKINGS**
Online ordering & bookings are no longer available.

We actually love doing bookings this way — it gives us the chance to chat with you, understand exactly what you need and cater to each booking a little more individually. ❤️

🚗 **DELIVERIES**
Deliveries are no longer available — but the kitchen is firing and we’d love to see your faces back in the pub! 🍽️

🥪 **PLATTER ORDERS**
If your booking requires platters, all platter orders need to be placed by **the Sunday PRIOR to your booking date** so Bek and the kitchen crew have plenty of time to get everything organised and ready for you! 👩‍🍳👌

🎉🍻 WE’RE FINALLY OPEN!! 🍻🎉

Yep… you read that right! After all the waiting, teasing, renovations, job ads and “when are you opening?” messages… THE DOORS ARE OPEN! 🙌
As of this morning, the doors are open, the beers are cold 🍺, the kitchen is cooking 🍽️ and the Bidgee Hotel is officially BACK! ❤️

From Rod, Deb, Ren, Tab, Bek, Jordi and the entire Bidgee family, we want to say a huge WELCOME BACK to our wonderful locals, friends, families and visitors.
We’ve been working incredibly hard behind the scenes to get everything ready, and we honestly cannot wait to have the pub full of familiar faces, laughter and good times again.

So come on in, grab a drink, grab a feed and check out the new (same) Bidgee!

🚨 JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER… FEATURING THIS BLOKE 👇😂 🚨

You may have noticed our shiny new sign has gone up on the back gate today — expertly modelled by the handsome fella in the photo, who was apparently very proud of his work. 😂👏

Just a quick reminder that this access point needs to be kept clear at ALL times please.
While you’ll often see it being used for our rubbish and cooking oil removal, it’s also an important access point for:
🚚 Deliveries
🔨 Tradespeople & contractors
🛠️ Upgrades and renovations
📦 Equipment and stock access
👷 And all the other behind-the-scenes jobs happening around here at the moment… 👀

So please keep an eye out for our new sign and help us keep the gate clear — otherwise we may have to leave old mate pictured here on permanent gate duty, and frankly, none of us are sure he's qualified. 😂
And yes… before you ask… we KNOW you’re all waiting for that opening date! 😏
We’re still going to keep you hanging just a little bit longer… but with new signs, deliveries, upgrades and plenty happening behind the scenes, you can probably tell things are getting VERY real around here! 👀🍻

👀 WE’RE DOING THIS AGAIN! 🍻

Okay… we know we teased you all with the first staff post, and here we are doing it AGAIN! 😂

First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who has already applied. ❤️ If you haven’t heard from us yet, don’t stress — we’ll be getting in touch with you very soon!

Now that all our managers and supervisors are in place, we’re looking for something a little more specific…

⭐ THE STARS OF THE SHOW — OUR YOUNGER CREW! ⭐

Are you 15–19 years old and looking for a few extra hours to help pay for all the teenage stuff and things these days? 😂💸

We’re looking for kitchen juniors who are willing and eager to learn, can think on their feet, work as part of a team and aren’t afraid to get stuck in!

🍻 AND OF COURSE… OUR BAR STARS!

We’re also looking for experienced bar staff who might only be after 1 or 2 nights a week, but can absolutely keep up in a busy, fast-paced environment. If you know your way around a bar, can handle the pressure and still keep a smile on your face — we want to hear from you! 🍺🍸

We know we’ve teased you all with the first post… and yep, we’re doing it again 🤣 BUT we promise you an opening date is coming VERY, VERY soon! 👀🎉

🍺 FULL-TIME BAR STAFF – 30+ hours per week
🍻 CASUAL BAR STAFF – Flexible hours available
👩‍🍳 KITCHEN HAND – 20+ hours per week

We’re looking for people who are:

✅ Reliable & hardworking
✅ Friendly and approachable
✅ Great with customers and a team player
✅ Comfortable working in a busy pub environment
✅ Available for evenings, weekends & public holidays where required

Bar Staff: RSA & RCG required.
Kitchen Hand: Previous kitchen experience preferred. A good work ethic and willingness to learn are a must!

It’s with a heavy heart that we share this update.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, The Bidgee Hotel will cease trading as of close of business tonight, May 1st.

As many of you know, the business has been on the market for some time. We have explored every possible option to avoid this outcome, but unfortunately, we have now reached a point where we are out of time.

Please spare a thought for our staff if you see them around, and treat them with kindness and respect — this is a difficult situation for all of us.

To our locals — we are so sorry, and thank you. Thank you for the past two years. We truly could not have done it without you. Our weekly bar flies, regular families, loyal trivia teams, every function we’ve hosted and been part of, and of course our amazing weekly musicians — you are the reason we do what we do. You kept us going, and honestly, thank you never feels like enough.

We hope this isn’t the end, just a break. We remain hopeful that it won’t be long before we’re all back. But for now, the doors must close tonight.

Until then — it’s business as normal for one last day:

• Lunch specials: 11:30am – 2:30pm
• Happy Hour: 4–6pm (Tab might be feeling a little generous 😉)
• Meat raffles supporting Narrandera Restorers & Collectors Club from 6pm
• Super Pub Cash Draw: $6000 jackpot
• Schooner card draw
• Dinner service: 5:30pm – 9pm (Bek will be showing off!)

We’ll have specials across the bar, kitchen, and bottleshop — and to send things off, Miss Mikaila will be live in the bar from 8pm 🎶

If you’ve got vouchers or schooner cards tucked away, today’s the day to use them.

Pop in, say g’day, and join us for one last night — for now.
