Do you need the perfect location for your end of season break up, school camp, club party, team celebration?
Narrawong Island can host 75 children and 5 adults in cabin accommodation with additional camp and van sites. We're accredited for school camps with VTIC and our recent visitors loved the variety of activities right there on the doorstep. A local school walked in from Snapper Point - 3kms, did an fun orienteering course to get to know the park. After lunch they went fishing then Stand Up paddle Boarding with GoSurf Warrnambool. The day finished with a night hike, singalong and a delicious fish and chip dinner. The next day they got find edible seaweed with Chris Rockley and cook damper (some seaweed flavoured), milo and banana boats on the open fire. The wet afternoon saw games and trivia in the multi-purpose room. There was some games room fun and the best spaghetti bolognese that a kid could ask for. All catered for individual tastes and dietary concerns by Portland Fish and Chips. That night they finished their trivia and enjoyed diary time in the cabins. The next morning was a well organised beachcombing hunt, sandcastle competition and team building games. We ate our delicious packed lunches and headed off to Portland's Information Centre for a visit to the maritime display. All agreed that the students learnt so much about the beach and marine environments.
