AMAROO is the aboriginal word for lovely beautiful place ā€“ the name says it all, as the resort covers 10 acres set amongst tropical gardens and surrounded by national park. The resort is truly a great place to unwind and relax. A great place for couples who want to chill out, or for relaxing alone, away from the hustle and bustle. Spacious and roomy, Amaroo On Mandalay is also an affordable family

get away, with plenty of room to run around. There is even a playground for children. Swim or relax by our large resort pool, or if you are feeling energetic partake in a game of tennis or two. In the evenings cook a steak on our free barbeque, and talk about your day with new friends. Wildlife is plentiful around the resort with plenty of opportunities for photos of daily feedings of cockatoos, A koala at Amaroo On Mandalaylorikeets and kookaburras. At dusk numerous rock wallabies and possums appear, and you are welcome to feed them pellets which are available from reception. Another attraction is our large marine tank in reception, where you can spend some time watching the fish swim around the coral reef. When itā€™s time to go out and explore, catch a bus from right in front of reception. 18 bus journeys per day will let you enjoy all the sights, restaurants, walking tracks and swimming bays around the island.
