The week COVID started we had Connor move into Retro Granny AND we picked our puppy Chewbacca up from Greenbah Groodles & Labradoodles Dubbo

Gosh it has been lovely watching them bond while we have all been home so much.

We leave Connor largely to do his own thing but the two things I do know about him is that he loves a strong coffee and pastry from Barista Miss and a Chewie cuddle any time he sees him.

Where are you going to Airbnb next now that restrictions have lifted?

RETRO GRANNY'S SISTER BUSINESS

I run two businesses from our little patch of paradise here in Lambton.

Here is an article where both were mentioned in Newcastle Herald this week for you to get an insight into what goes on here.

We have had a lot of long-staying guests over the last year and between them have enjoyed 'hiding' the occassional overwhelmed parent who just needed 24 or 48hrs bunkered down and off the treadmill of life to recharge. I will announce here once we can offer those types of stays again.

There is a certain sort of guest you armpump over getting to host for 3mths across COVID and it is definately Connor. Able to stay due to his extenuating circumstances he has been so lovely and easy.....we might just keep discounting to keep him....

Retro Granny BnB was built by Des in the mid 60s for his father-in law.

The adjacent home we live in was a gunbarrell house and he cleverly added on the grannyflat and then put a big ole flatter-pitched roof over the lot.

It was great to have Des stroll in today to say hi and send him home with some limes off his huge old tree that has had trunk damage for years but is as prolific as ever.

Thesedays the garage he used as a woodwork den had been converted and is my work studio (Love Parenting Newcastle )

I meant to get some depression-era tips while he was here but forgot. Ah well....I will invite him back. Daddy Retro and I couldn't believe it....he looks younger every time we see him.
