A bumper haul of Bunya Nuts falling this year. Its a privilege to have a healthy stand of these prehistoric trees here on
Usually only producing cones that contain the edible nut once every 2-3 years, the larger trees can be between 300-500 years old, with fossil evidence dating back to 100 million years
The cones drop between December to February and can weigh up to 10kg containing nearly 100 nuts, look out when these come crashing down.
