As part of our ongoing investment in upgrading facilities for our camp users, we are investing in reverse cycle air conditioning for our dormitories to provide heating & cooling
• this includes battery storage to make best use of our solar system and to minimise electricity usage
• we expect the installation to be complete by Christmas 2023.

Camp Dzintari is reopened to customers on 1st August in line with Public Activities Direction 2020 (No 3) that comes into effect at 12:01 am Monday 29 June 2020. Welcome Back!

While physical distancing of 1.5 m is still encouraged, social distancing requirements within venues will be reduced to one person per two square metres.

Camp Dzintari is aware of current infection control and precautionary measures as recommended by health authorities and set out in the COVID Safe plan. Camp Dzintari agrees to comply with general and specific obligations under current Emergency Management Directions and has the COVID-Safe Plan is available at site, and in turn requires its hirers to comply with the same requirements.

In line with this plan, Camp Dzintari is limiting camper numbers to a maximum of 96 people on site (excluding caretakers). This is based on the capacity of our dining hall, and 50% occupancy of our main dormitories.

We wish to regretfully inform you, that as a result of the most recent Government responses to Covid-19, we have decided to close the Latvian Camp Dzintari for the time being; it will not be available for hire until restrictions are lifted.

We are currently in the process of cancelling all bookings scheduled until the end of June, and refunding deposits. We will be in touch with affected hirers.

We are closely monitoring the situation, and will notify all our regular customers of any decision on the timing of reopening.

If you wish to rebook your camp for later in the year, we urge you to contact the Bookings Officer well in advance ([email protected]), as we recognise that this will be a difficult time for all users due to the possibility of increased demand and therefore reduced availability.

We will endeavour to meet the needs of all our hirers, as most have been with us for many years and we value your custom. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work together to resolve any issues.

This is a challenging time for everyone in Australia and we will do our best to support you.
