Afternoon tea, a quintessential British experience in York at The Pearly Cow hotel.A grade 2 listed regency townhouse of stately proportions with an Interesting setup. We were surprised though that it wasn't set up with fine bone china. Nonetheless the food was as expected dainty sandwiches,handmade cakes and scones,jam and clotted cream, with a great choice of speciality teas.
