A new chapter for Online Dining begins with Ricardo’s Gourmet Pizza. 🍕

We’re excited to launch Online Dining Stories—a new editorial series celebrating the people, passion and traditions behind Australia’s hospitality businesses.

Our first Story takes us to Seaviews Oak Beach in Far North Queensland, where Richard “Ricardo” Lavender has transformed a family pizza tradition into a memorable guest experience.

There’s slowly risen dough, a handmade gourmet pizza, home-brewed Pale Face pale ale and even a colourful final-night fire prepared as a thank-you to guests.

But behind it all is something even more important: the warmth, personality and care that Richard and Marti bring to every stay.
