I often find myself wandering through the house in the early evening after watering the garden, observing the fading light in here. The shadows and light so varying in every room. The silence is deafening, enveloped within the sandstone walls that have stood the absolute test of time. If it’s been a hot day, the rooms are so cool with the fragrance of earth emitting from the internal natural sandstone and when the day has been icy cold, the walls are warm as toast with the fires burning inside keeping you snug as a bug.

Happy new year! Yes so I’ve been under a rock with kiddos, school holidays and general life and now we’re in February 2026 🥴 how’s your year going?!

A lot of conversations, reflection and ambitions have been laid out on the table and we have a massively exciting year ahead. More to come on that ♥️

A handful of my favourites from when stayed a few years ago which then resulted in a House & Garden feature last year - dear old Raffah - such a faithful gem.

A perfect space for entertaining whilst traveling the southern midlands of Tasmania. Make this your base 🍃

August is (obviously) our last month of winter rates so pack the car and head to Oatlands for a wintery escape with bathtubs, cloudy beds, an expansive kitchen and dining space to unwind by the fire 🔥

Lots of memorable conversations have been held around this table. Quite often way past our bedtime, but that is not an issue as slow mornings are expected when you’re slumbering within these old stone walls.

Ummmmm EXCUSE ME while I take a moment to recover from pinching myself alllllll week. We are so proud to see our old darling Raffah, in print and on TWELVE glossy pages of this months Australian print institution 🤗

When I initially reached out to to come and shoot Raffah when she was visiting Tasmania a year or so ago, I never expected this to be the outcome! I’ve adored Jess’ photos and style for YEARS so it was genuinely an honour to even have her gracing our house with her camera lense.
