Hip hip hooray it's the 1st of may.... the campground is now open and ready for you to enjoy sensational sunsets, where you can swap street lights for star filled nights and ditch the corporate conversations for camp fire karaoke... we are looking forward to seeing you for the 2026 camping season.

Peedamulla pup-a-cino's and doggy treat bags.... taste tested by our resident peedamulla station fur children and the verdict is in... they said they are just "drool-a-licious"

As part of NAIDOC week, an immersive cultural experience weekend was held at the Peedamulla Campgrounds.

Friday afternoon, campers were treated to a cultural walk around the campgrounds led by Caroline Parker, finishing off around the campfire with dinner, campfire yarns and storytelling.

On Saturday as the sun set, visitors were cooked and served a dinner of traditional kangaroo stew and damper. After dinner, the crowd settled in around the campfires as Banjima elder Trevor Parker and family shared their knowledge and stories through dance, singing and storytelling. The stories were narrated by the Elders of the community, with everyone invited to join in the last performance.

Indigenous band Broken Tides, from Port Hedland entertained visitors well into the evening.

Caroline Parker said she was impressed with the strong turnout to the event. "It's great to see so many people here supporting our culture and Peedamulla, we are very grateful to Mineral Resources, Waalitj Foundation and Coates Hire for their support of the event.”
