Three Years. Somehow. π»β€οΈ
Three years ago, four brave (or slightly crazy) locals decided it would be a great idea to take on the Orbost Club Hotel.
What followed was a whirlwind of early mornings, late nights, endless problem-solving, plenty of learning on the fly, and more than a few moments of wondering whose idea it was in the first place.
Over time, the ownership group changed, but the commitment to the pub and the community never did. Today, Craig and Jack continue to carry the torch, pouring their hearts into making the Orbost Club Hotel a place people are proud to call their local.
In the last three years we've seen thousands of meals served, countless beers poured, raffles drawn, birthdays celebrated, stories told, friendships formed and memories made. We've laughed together, supported each other through tough times, celebrated local wins, raised money for great causes and welcomed visitors from all over who quickly felt like locals.
The truth is, a pub is never just bricks and mortar. It's the people who walk through the doors. It's the familiar faces at the bar. It's the staff who become family. It's the locals who show up week after week. It's the conversations, the celebrations, the occasional bad joke, and the community spirit that fills the room.
To Craig and Jack, congratulations on reaching this milestone. Three years of hard work, sacrifice, determination and dedication is something worth celebrating. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, but you've kept showing up, kept backing the community and kept the doors open with a smile.
And to everyone who has supported us over the last three yearsβwhether you've had one beer or one thousand, bought a raffle ticket, shared a post, booked a table, attended an event or simply called in for a chatβthank you. You are the reason we're here.
And yes, before anyone asks, Mollie has jumped on Facebook again. But for once she's not reminding you about raffles, chasing your membership renewal, or telling you what's for dinner. Today is simply about saying thank you.
Thank you for three incredible years.
Thank you for every conversation, every laugh, every celebration and every bit of support you've shown this little country pub.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're off to celebrate surviving three years in hospitality. Some say it's a miracle. We tend to agree.
π We've shared a lot of memories over the last three years, and we'd love to hear yours.
