What an incredible afternoon hosting the Australian Camps Association at GlamXperience HQ and our show yard! 🌿✨

It was inspiring to exchange ideas, build new relationships and explore how we can work together to create even more opportunities for adventure, connection and time spent outdoors.

Most importantly, we believe young people are the future, and investing in their experiences, confidence and connection to the outdoors matters. 🌱💚

Not all land is easy to build on. Steep slopes, awkward corners, limited access or unused areas often get written off altogether.

But some of our favourite projects started with exactly those challenges.

With the right design, these spaces can become unique accommodation experiences that add value to a property and create new revenue opportunities.

For four years, NRMA has been waiting to open these safari tents in Bright.

These tents are designed to create beautiful nature-based experiences with a light footprint. Across Victoria, similar safari tents are classified as movable dwellings and are allowed — including in council-owned holiday parks.

However, Alpine Shire has classified these safari tents as buildings, which has created a frustrating and unnecessary roadblock.

Since 2009, we have installed more than 10,000 safari tents all over the world, and we have never experienced a situation like this.

This is not only impacting NRMA. It also impacts the wider Bright community. Guests who book these types of experiences spend money in local cafés, restaurants, shops, attractions and tourism businesses.

Bright is one of Victoria’s most beautiful regional destinations. Families want to stay here, experience nature and support the local community.

It is time to open these tents.

NRMA needs it.

Regional tourism needs it.
Victorian families need it.

We’ve officially joined the Australian Camps Association.

For us, this is about something bigger than accommodation.

Camps play a huge role in how kids grow up.
Spending time outdoors, away from screens, building confidence, making friends… it’s something a lot of us grew up with, but not every child gets to experience today.

Our safari tents are designed to make outdoor stays more accessible, comfortable and practical for school camps and outdoor education providers. From smaller setups to larger lodges with bunk beds, everything is built to support real group experiences.

And always with safety in mind.
All our tents use fire-retardant PFAS free canvas and are engineered for Australian conditions.

We see first hand what these environments can do for young people. It’s not just a place to sleep. It’s where connection happens.
