We know it’s nearly spring when scores of emu chicks start appearing along the riverbank! 🐣😍

After plenty of winter rain up north, water is currently making its way down the River Murray, breathing new life into our stunning landscape - making this a prime breeding time for our wildlife and birds.

With Father’s Day coming up, it’s also worth noting that emu Dads happen to be some of the very best in the world. Mums leave the family nest early, leaving Dad to sit on the eggs for months and care for the kids until they eventually leave home!

Winter... you're delicious! Four years ago, Rick and Cathy planted a bunch of tiny trees, and this week, they delivered our very first harvest... 17 bins of juicy, fresh Ippolito Blood Oranges! 🍊🌳😋

An Italian variety with deep crimson flesh and wonderfully sweet flavours (think: raspberry, orange and floral undertones), these beauties have a relatively short season of around two months, so there's plenty of excitement around the orchard for our inaugural pick!

A good number of them are already en route to our friends at Venus Fruit, but naturally Cathy's also managed to squirrel a few away - so guests can look forward to a few delicious new treats at The Frames over the coming weeks!

The Paringa Bridge is one of only four suspension bridges still spanning the Murray River. As well as playing a vital role in the passage of river and road traffic, this handy little slipway in the middle also offers easy access to Renmark for E-bikers from The Frames! 🚴
