Forged Rhythms will be launched at Peek into the Past!
Sunday 26 July 2026 in the Milk Room

An immersive installation of sound and moving image, inspired by the fire, rhythm, and heart of blacksmithing at Tocal's historic forge.

Featuring the work of:
• Filmmaker Jonathan Burrows
• Sound artist Huw Jones
• Sculptor and blacksmith Will Maguire
• Words and stories of twin brothers Dave and Bob Skelton

Come along for the premiere, plus an Artist Talk and Q&A with the Forged Rhythms team on the day.

Our white picket fence gateway, the main entrance to Tocal Homestead, has seen it all.

From wedding couples arriving for their special day, buses filled with school groups and senior tours, visitors attending events and creative workshops — and even flood waters passing through.

12 months apart, these photos are a reminder of the many stories this place holds and the resilience that comes with every season.
